Practical legal training qualification, ANU (1978); Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of the ACT; on the Register of Practitioners kept by the High Court of Australia (1979). Lauren has been a senior executive solicitor at the Australian Government Solicitor, specialising in dispute resolution; a senior legal policy lawyer, specialising in international and domestic copyright; and a Lecturer at the ANU College of Law, teaching dispute resolution and legal ethics, where she also provided legal services at Legal Aid ACT through an ANU clinical program. She is experienced in team and professional practice leadership and Board leadership. Lauren has served on the Canberra Theatre Trust, the Board of Don Asker's Human Veins Dance Theatre and the Meryl Tankard Company (first Chair) - both companies funded by the Australia Council - as well as on a primary school Board and P&C, and the Board of National Capital Dancers (Kylie Hunter, Artistic Director). She has served on the Ausdance ACT Board since 2009, being President (Chair) since 2011.
