EMMA DYKES
MARKETING MANAGER

Emma Dykes is the Marketing Manager at Ausdance ACT, bringing over 30 years of experience in performing arts management, marketing, media management, event coordination, and public relations. Throughout her career, Emma has held key leadership roles, including positions at the Canberra Theatre Centre, Dance Development Centre, and Paige Gordon & Performance Group.

She has worked with with numerous local arts organiastions such as the Gorman Arts Centre, Canberra Youth Theatre, and Eulea Kiraly and The Company. Emma has also contributed her expertise through board memberships with Canberra Dance Theatre, The Australian Choreographic Centre, Kultour – Multicultural Touring Australia Council, and Ausdance ACT. Additionally, she served as Deputy Convenor of the Performing Arts Advisory Committee for the Cultural Facilities Corporation, reflecting her strong dedication to supporting and promoting the arts community.

Emma has been recognised as a finalist in the Telstra Business Women’s Awards, as well as the 2019 ACT Women’s Awards and ACT Volunteering Awards, reflecting her outstanding contributions to both her profession and community. She was deeply involved in her son’s school community at Hawker Primary School, serving as Vice President and general member of the P&C, and coordinating the school’s highly successful annual autumn fete from 2015 to 2019. Emma also held the position of President of the Belconnen High School P&C from 2021 to 2023 and contributed as a member of the 2021 Belconnen High School 50th Anniversary Committee.
Beyond the arts sector, Emma has provided freelance marketing and event management services to organisations including Strine Environments, The Social Mind, and National Walk Safely to School Day.
