Jacqueline Dimmock, MSc, BA (Hons) - Ready4Performance


Jacqueline is a Performing Arts and Dance Science lecturer from the UK. She has a bachelor’s in Dance Studies and a master’s in Dance Science from the University of Wolverhampton. Over the last few years Jacqueline has utilised these to integrate healthy dance and well-being practice within her contemporary dance teaching and lecturing. She has taught in a
variety of settings including recreational dance schools, further and adult education, and most recently in a vocational performing arts school in Wiltshire, UK. Jacqueline is now living and working in Canberra.


Jacqueline's particular areas of interest include a holistic approach to enhancing performer well-being and dance for health. Through Ready4Performance, Jacqueline aims to develop programs of support including psychological skills training (PST) coaching workshops and dance as an embodied experience for cross-curricular activities and learning, and hopes to conduct research in these areas.


Jacqueline has served as a member of the IADMS Publications Committee since 2018 and was Associate Editor and Editor of the IADMS Newsletter, before becoming Publications Committee Chair in 2020.
