ALANA STENNING

Alana Stenning has a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Dance) from the Adelaide College of the Arts, and a Master of Art History and Curatorship from the Australian National University. In her professional dance career, she has work for the Australian Dance Party, as a performer and choreographer. With Australian Dance Party she created A-Love-Dance for the National Portrait Gallery, won a Canberra Critics Circle award for her choreography in Lake March, and been shortlisted for an Australian Dance Award in From the Vault. Alana has also worked extensively in youth dance as a choreographer, mentor and teacher for QL2 Youth Dance Company and The Chameleon Collective, and a choreographic mentor for Ausdance ACT’s Youth Dance Festival. As an independent choreographer she has created the works 'V', 'Great Woman Wolf Woman Bone Woman' and in collaboration with Ryan Stone, 'Mulch'.
