Natsuko graduated with a Bachelor of Design at the Australian National University School of Art and Design in 2020. She has danced with the Quantum Leap Youth Ensemble for 5 years, touring to Melbourne for the Australian Youth Dance Festival in 2017. Natsuko has been a very active artist in the Canberra arts scene where she has premiered works at festivals including the You Are Here Festival, Art Not Apart Festival, Ausdance ACT’s Escalate programs and also the Hot to Trot and On Course programs at QL2. She is a multidisciplinary artist whose work revolves strongly around social issues. She often works with dance, film, visual art and music but she is continuing to expand her skills in other forms of technology and media including Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality. She had her first solo exhibition at the ANCA (Australian National Capital Artists) Gallery in 2020 and also directed her first full-length physical theatre, dance and original live music performance at the Belconnen Arts Centre which challenged ideas of isolation and the socially withdrawn phenomenon. Natsuko is passionate and knowledgeable about the arts scene in Canberra and is now a member of the Ausdance ACT team.
