Ausdance ACT Presents a Masterclass
with Ballet International Gala Soloist - Iana Salenko
Ausdance ACT is delighted to present a Masterclass with with Iana Salenko, Principal Dancer at Staatsballett Berlin.
​
This workshop is designed for dancers aged 14 and above, pre-professionals, adult dancers, and independent artists at an intermediate to advanced level. The session will include a 1.25-hour classical ballet and variations class, followed by a 15-minute Q&A.
​
Iana is touring with the critically acclaimed Ballet International Gala performing at the Canberra Theatre for one show only. Witness classical ballet at its best as the world’s most renowned artists perform some of ballet’s most iconic repertoires.

with Bangarra Dance Theatre
Ausdance ACT was delighted to present a Masterclass with Bangarra Dance Theatre.
​
While in Canberra, Bangarra is committed to engaging with the community beyond the performance by holding a beautiful contemporary dance workshop inspired by the Company's newest work Horizon, which went on at the Canberra Theatre from the 18th to the 20th of July.
This session focused on exploring cultural elements of dance in a contemporary setting. The workshop was open to pre-professionals 14+, independent dance artists, dance teachers and adult dancers with an intermediate to advanced level in Contemporary Dance.
The workshop was facilitated by four of the company members, who share the rich culture and history that is sewn through their storytelling. Join Bradley Smith, Kiarn Doyle, Emily Flannery, Lucy May to experience the magic!

with Sydney Dance Company Rehearsal Associate Charmene Yap
Ausdance ACT had the pleasure to offer an exclusive workshop featuring SDC Rehearsal Associate Charmene Yap. This Contemporary Creative Workshop provided a unique opportunity for intermediate to advanced contemporary dancers aged 14+, independent artists, and dance teachers to experience the creation and performance of new and original movement from a section of repertoire from the performance of Momenta that was on at the Canberra Theatre Centre from 21 - 22 June 2024.

Elise Jacques & Tynan Wood
Ausdance ACT was absolutely thrilled to host this fabulous gathering! Participants had the incredible opportunity to join a company class led by the two principal artists, Elise Jacques and Tynan Wood, surrounded by talented Company members on the stunning Canberra Theatre Stage. And that's not all! Following the class, the two principal artists wowed the crowd with a breath-taking pas de deux from Act 2 and even held a Q&A session. It was truly an unforgettable experience! Australian Dance Week 2024 Fabulous Fan Veil Dance Workshop with Jazida - Free!
What a great way to celebrate Ausdance ACT Australian Dance Week 2024!
Jazida's workshop was wonderful and participants enjoyed dancing with silk fan veils and had lots of fun-fan-dancing!
This intergenerational workshop was open to all. Many thanks to Jazida for sharing her tips and techniques with us in a spectacular style!

Ausdance ACT Presents - Dance Film Choreographic Methods Workshop with Peng Hsiao-yin (Grace), Dancecology
As a site-specific choreographer, performer, and dance film director, Grace has guided participants into her dance film choreographic methods through some practices of movement developments, to enhance the awareness of space, multi focus projecting and visual storytelling in dance, to explore the intriguing interplay between visual and kinetic elements in dance. Her passion was contagious!
