Youth Dance Festival is a remarkable Canberra success story and has been proudly presented by Ausdance ACT since 1984. A long-term feature on the Canberra arts and education calendar, and celebrating 40 years in 2024, Dance Fest boasts a second generation of participants, a proud alumnus and a strong legacy.

 

There is something magical about the unique opportunity that the event provides - the vibrancy, fun and energy that can only be experienced at Youth Dance Festival. Alongside the supported process of creating a concept, translating that concept into dance, and presenting the work on Canberra’s premiere stage is a lifetime memory for the 45,000+ students who have been involved since it first began.
