Youth Dance Festival (affectionately known as Dance Fest) is a remarkable Canberra success story and has been proudly presented by Ausdance ACT since 1985. A long-term feature on the Canberra arts and education calendar and now in its 39th year, Dance Fest boasts a second generation of participants, a proud alumnus and a strong legacy.

 

There is something magical about the unique opportunity that Dance Fest provides - the vibrancy, fun and energy that can only be experienced at Dance Fest. Alongside the supported process of creating a concept, translating that concept into dance, and presenting the work on Canberra’s premiere stage is a lifetime memory for the 35,000+ students who have been involved since it first began.
